Perspectives Counseling and Consultation

Individual counseling:

• In a private, confidential one-on-one setting, a licensed mental health counselor can explore and identify your pathway barriers.

•  Through the identification of goals, the counselor can devise a treatment plan that outlines a variety of tools and techniques to get you on your way to emotional health and comfort.
  

• The goals of treatment consist of surpassing those barriers in an emotionally safe and validating way that enables the client to create forward movement and lasting change.

Family counseling:

• An individual is a part of a larger system, and if you create change in one part of the system, it eventually can create change in the entire system.

• Family counseling can be conducted with one member, two members, or the entire family.  Not all members of the family need to be present for every session in order for treatment to be successful.

• Often times, families in treatment seek out individual counselors as well, which is typically done by a completely different provider.  Referrals can be made upon request.

• This can assist with improving a marriage or intimate relationship, issues that arise through raising children, or issues that face adult children as they gain awareness into their own growth environment.
